Overview of the Simcenter 3D Product
Simcenter 3D is a multi-disciplinary CAE software based on NX. It combines variation of widely used environments and solver types, including Magnet, Nastran, and FloEFD, to analyze different physics on a single consolidated platform. Due to the option of easy geometry and data import/export, together with unified workflow and automation features, Simcenter 3D helps to speed up the application modeling process and connects the work of different engineering departments.
Simenter 3D has many integrated modules including mechanical, acoustics, motion, thermal-flow, durability and of course electromagnetics. User can choose modules required on a current stage of the application design and easily switch between them using token licensing on quite flexible conditions. This flexibility and integration allow for faster modelling process keeping you ahead of your competition.

Simcenter 3D Structures – is a Simcenter 3D bundle for mechanical design containing basic Nastran solvers to conduct structural tests which are the next step after electromagnetic simulations in Simcenter Magnet or Simcenter E-machine Design, where electromagnetic forces applied to the device are calculated beforehand.
Simcenter 3D Noise and Vibration Response – is an Simcener 3D acoustics module based on Nastran dynamic solvers. It conducts FRF and modal analyses that are necessary during NVH and vibrations tests. Users can estimate dynamic response of the system, vibrations and sounds level due to magnetostriction, etc. As inputs, Simcenter 3D may read .unv files obtained in Simcenter Magnet or Simcenter E-machine Design
